

The General is a small shop in the space between Black & White Rabbit. You can currently shop The General during Black Rabbit Kitchen’s open hours.
We’re pleased to offer curated goods by local makers, with most of our stock being made up of work provided by artists either located in Nanaimo or elsewhere on Vancouver Island. We are currently accepting new vendors. If you would like to be considered for future openings, please fill this form.

Adrian Symons crafts pieces for a variety of applications. Most visible is his work around the Station. He’s crafted all of our woodwork at White Rabbit, The General & Black Rabbit. We also carry a small selection of his work in The General store space.

Amélie Blanchard is a local art therapist, creator, potter and overall cool human. She can often be found in the area running art workshops or just sipping a coffee next door at White Rabbit. We currently carry a collection of her pottery.

Miranda Beck is a Métis artist from Yellowknife who lives and works on the Island. She creates beautiful beaded earrings as well as other beaded work. We are so pleased to host seasonal collections from her in our shop.

Local tattoo artist, ½ of Wisterium, and an accomplished lino print maker. We carry a small selection of her lino work, and a good chunk of our staff wear her ink on their skin.
